Student Ministries
LIFT
Thank you for your interest in LIFT Student Ministry. Our name reflects our purpose—to lift up Jesus and reach out to others. Our ministry is rooted in John 12:32, where Jesus reminds us that when He is lifted up, He will draw all people to Himself.
LIFT meets on Sunday afternoons from 3:30–5:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Each gathering includes engaging games or activities, a snack, and a meaningful Bible study designed to help students grow in their faith.
At Buford Street UMC, our mission is to make disciples of all nations by loving the Lord our God and loving people. We desire to see our church boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and actively participate in the work He is doing in the world today.
Our goal is to encourage, equip, and send out the next generation to be the light of the world. We seek to come alongside families by supporting parents and serving as an additional voice of faith within the body of Christ, helping students grow into mature, Spirit-led followers of Jesus. Our prayer is that families walk in obedience, humility, and a deep dependence on the Holy Spirit.
